I study the evolution of consumer nutrient traits and how they shape ecosystem nutrient dynamics.
I'm originally from Kozhikode, India, currently based in Ithaca, NY. My work sits at the intersection of ecology, evolution, and ecosystem science.
I'm currently a PhD Candidate in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Cornell University.
I believe in our shared responsibility to care for our planet and all its life. I am also strongly committed to making academia more inclusive and welcoming for individuals of all identities.
I am fortunate to have worked with some organizations in Cornell, Ithaca and beyond towards these goals. Here are a few examples:
Supporting local and international work around waste reduction, public education, and policy change.
Creating accessible spaces for students and community members to connect with ecology and biology.
